Binchy, D.A. Scela Cano Meic Gartnain Volume XVIII , Medieval & Modern Irish Series. The Dublin Institute For Advanced Studies 1975 Hardcover. Good Octavo 69 pp including extensive Notes and Vocabulary. This copy belonged to scholar Dorothy Molloy Carpenter and has her name and a date in ballpoint along with extensive pencilled notes, underlining and marginalia A tale from the Yellow Book of Lecan, seen by some as a precursor of Tristan & Iseult, this was probably first written down in the 9th and revised in the 10th centuries. The story itself is very ancient. Old-Irish text with some later Middle-Irish material, not to be confused with modern Irish Gaelic.
