308 pp Much about the battles of Dunbar and Inverkeithing, two important engagements of the Third English Civil War. The Battle of Inverkeithing was notable due to the audacity of Cromwell in ordering a sea-born invasion of Fife, on the northern shore of the Firth of Forth. If successful, which it was, it would result in a flanking of the main Scottish position at Sterling. While not as large as some other battles, this battle helped to turn the overall tide of the Third English Civil War.
